My Design Philosophy
I am an experienced hostel, events and tourism manager, fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English. I have over 15 years’
experience working in the tourism industry in Brazil, London, Mexico and Portugal. I am extremely hard working, reliable and quick to learn. I have a lot of experience working with people and managing large teams.
I am currently self-employed doing various jobs such as website development, managing AirBnB properties and photography
My experience in hospitality and tourism began in 2009 in Rio de Janeiro. A friend from the Copacabana area invited me to work with him at a hostel called Che Lagarto because I had a certain fluency in English and was completely fluent in Spanish and the company was looking for someone with those characteristics. It was the first time I knew what a hostel was.
The Hostel world blew my mind, I loved that young and traveling atmosphere that I decided to dedicate myself to this full time.
From 2009 to 2016 I worked at the same company, where my tourism world expanded a lot, getting to know different cultures, languages and customs, was something I really liked doing.
During those 7 years at Che Lagarto, I went through several stages, from Night Receptionist, Morning Receptionist, Hostel Manager, Bar Tender of the same place and Bar and Reception Manager of the same Hostel.
In 2016 I made the decision that I wanted to continue doing what I am most passionate about, which is music, and I decided to look for a job in England because I wanted to get to know the country where, for me, it is the best place for the arts, especially music, since most of my musical influences come from there.
Before arriving in Brazil, I studied arts at the GMartell University of Music in Mexico City, where I took courses in Music Production, Audio and Video Editing, and part of Photography.
I was lucky enough to get a job the same week I arrived in London. Another chain called Astor Hostels in central London where I spent 8 years of my life and which I love very much. What I learned at Astor is something I will carry with me forever, from the efficiency of London life to the smallest details in the execution of a job. London gave me the chance to discover what I had been looking for, which was music, where I still have the opportunity to be part of a band with very interesting projects and I can continue to carry out my musical passion, in addition to rediscovering the visual side of things like photography and video. In the tourism side, I learned about maintenance and improved my management skills, helping the company become one of the most prestigious in a city as big as London.
In 2024, after coming and going, I have moved permanently to Portugal, in this wonderful area of Ferrel, where I have found a place quite similar to my Latin roots, with a warm community and friends who, despite knowing each other for less than 3 years, have already become a beautiful family. Now I continue doing my personal projects such as my tour in Mexico in my tourism company El Lobo Road Trip and in coliving that my partner and I manage, Mysa Baleal.
